CBR: Reshaping Worldviews on Campus

One of CBR's Reproductive "Choice" Trucks visits the University of Cincinnati.
One of main goals of the Center for Bio Ethical Reform is to reach and equip young people to be able to make a defense for life and the Christian faith.  In May, CBR Midwest displayed the Reproductive "Choice" (RCC) Trucks at Ohio University, and the University of Cincinnati.  Also, CBR displayed the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) at the University of Georgia, Oregon State University , University of North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson, and West Carolina University this spring.  CBR remains committed to reaching the next generation of leaders.

Here is an excerpt from the Ohio University Newspaper the Post:

"The first time I saw the trucks today I was eating lunch, and it kind of upset my stomach," said OU senior David Schneider. "The graphic images really get the point across.  It's a good way to get people's attention."

"University professors are not educating students about abortion.  They are hostile to the pro-life message, and they are actively involved in suppressing the message," Paul Troiani of CBR Midwest said.  "If it's not being done here at OU by professors, we are going to come here and do it for them."

“Walking along Court Street today, a pair of big trucks rolled past, and I fell off a curb as I stared at the graphics on their panels.  Most everyone I saw gazed in shocked awe at the trucks as they passed” said Tod Imperato an OU graduate student in Latin American studies.

Thanks to you CBR Midwest is continuing to influence and reshape the worldview of the younger generation.  Please keep the financial support coming.  More support means more college age young people will be reached with the truth of abortion.

CBR is Making Disciples in the Classroom Too!

Training youth in classroom debate settings is also an emphasis of CBR.  In May, Paul Troiani of CBR Midwest debated a pro abortion advocate at the University of New Hampshire in front of 200 students.

What students at UNH had to say about the abortion debate:

“I was absolutely shocked at the video (Harder Truth)—how graphic and violent the abortion procedure is medically.  I appreciated the fact that this was not censored.”—Female Grad student at UNH ‘05

“Awesome presentation tonight, although I wouldn’t called myself one before, I can now say that I am definitely ‘pro-life.’”—Male Undergrad student at UNH ‘05

“I became even more pro-life.”— Ex-President of UNH Students for Life at UNH ‘05

“The video was hard to watch but reality is better than ignorance.”—Female undergrad student at UNH ’05,

“The pro-life format was persuasive, the pro-choice format was irrelevant.”—Male undergrad student at UNH ‘05

“I felt the pro-choice advocate buried herself in emotion while the pro-life advocate used scientific evidence.”  —Male undergrad student at UNH ‘05

High School Students Hear the Pro Life Position

On May 3, CBR Midwest presented “Reforming Bio Ethics” at Worthington Kilbourne High school to 100 Seniors.  Here are a few choice remarks about our visit:

“Before Mark Harrington, I considered myself pro-choice.  However, after Mark Harrington, I began to reconsider my position on this issue.” — WKHS Student

“I truly admired his charisma in the matter.  I respect his interest and that he feels it is his duty to defend the unborn and decide on the subject even though he is not a woman.”  — WKHS Student

A Few More Nuggets from the CBR Mailbag

“The pictures convinced me there is no reasonable discussion to have with small minded idiots like yourself.   Ask for Jesus to save you, no one else can.”  —24 yr. old female

“This website is sooooo stinkin graphic. I will never look at abortion the same. EVER!”—17 yr. old female from Salem, Oregon

“Nutcases like you folks out there, that think it's fun to handle, photograph & exploit aborted children should be put into a mental ward.” —27 yr. old female from Akron, OH

“My best friend is going to have an abortion. After seeing this site, I don't know if I can support her.” — 25 yr. old female from Canada

“I'm keeping all my kids whether the pregnancy was unplanned or not?  Those pictures are gross.” —17 yr. old female from Nyora

I have run out of room to share any more testimonies.  By God’s grace the fruit of our work is filling volumes.  Keep sending us the financial help we need.

For Jesus and the babies,
