CBR's Banners Visit Several States

CBR’s Reproductive “Choice” Trucks and Airplanes have reached the halfway point of a 5 month tour of the key battle ground states of Pennsylvania and Ohio. After displaying abortion in the Pennsylvania cities of Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, and Allentown CBR’s traveling team moved on to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

The press doesn’t generally want to cover the issue of abortion but apparently cannot resist covering the controversy created over the pictures of abortion. Needless to say, when the press covers the controversy they are forced in one manner or another to cover the issue. For the first time since Roe v. Wade, the pro life movement is successfully getting the press to cover abortion on our terms – by showing that abortion is an act of violence that kills a baby. Despite that truth, there are those who do not have a functioning conscience and deny the reality of abortion.

Here is the an excerpt from the Wilkes-Barre Citizen Voice:

Joanne Tosti-Vasey, president of the Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Women, said the new campaign appears to be an escalation of the center’s “distortions of abortion, women and their reproductive lives.”

A past campaign by the group called the Genocide Awareness Project showed pictures of Holocaust victims with the label of “Religious Choice,” and lynching victims with the label of “Racial Choice” in efforts to link abortion to genocide.

“These displays are inaccurate, hateful and disrespectful in many communities,” Tosti-Vasey said. “We will continue to work to expose the hypocrisy and disrespect for women the Center for Bio-Ethical Reform perpetrates.”

CBR Note:

Hypocrisy? Disrespect? Distortions of abortion? It fails us to understand how the photographic evidence of the crime of abortion is hypocritical, disrespectful and distorted. If only the babies could speak they would be thankful for CBR’s “escalation” in our “new campaign.” Thanks to you, the babies do have a voice.

Cincinnati Sees Abortion

CBR flew banners of aborted fetuses over the Cincinnati riverfront from Aug. 29 through Sept. 8, 2006. The following is from the Cincinnati Enquirer:

Mark Harrington said his group turned to the skies to air its views because some stationary billboard companies refuse to post the images. Mainstream TV, radio and newspapers also won't use the ads because of their graphic content, he said.

"They often censor the grim reality of abortion while permitting horrifying images of dead Americans in Iraq to be broadcast and printed," Harrington said.

CBR Note: Media censorship is why we have devised our own mass media venue—the roadways and skies of America.

Pregnancy Help Center Locates Next to Columbus Abortion Clinic

Eight years ago, abortionist Mervyn Samuel relocated his killing center to Columbus, OH. At that time, led by Mark Harrington, the community rose up by holding public awareness campaigns and all night prayer vigils. Prayers were offered asking God to locate a Crisis Pregnancy Center next door. Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.” On Sunday, August 20, the Columbus pro-life community dedicated the new Pregnancy Decision Health Center office at 5900 Cleveland Ave. next to abortionist Samuel. If it weren’t for the fervent prayers and urging of the pro life community, this day may never have come. Please pray for the operation of this new facility that it would be used to glorify God and save lives.

The summer months have been hard on CBR Midwest financially. The burn rate for our Key States Initiative is about $10K per month. The need is great. Please help us finish our tour of PA and Ohio strong. Please send us a generous gift. Hearts and minds are being changed. Voters are being educated on abortion. Babies are being spared who would have been killed because of CBR Midwest’s outreach to these key battleground states. Thanks to you, CBR Midwest is laying the groundwork and building infrastructure for 2008 as well. You are our supply line.

Blessings,
