CBR Finishes Key States Race — For Now

Like an army battling the enemy on several fronts at one time, CBR has been engaged on the front lines of the abortion wars for several months now. CBR’s Reproductive “Choice” trucks and airplanes just finished their final stretch of the Key States Initiative. CBR has been doing some heavy lifting in Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Montana for months now. CBR is non partisan but takes the opportunity to educate voters in key states during elections. The pro life movement has never undertaken such an enterprise. Here is recap of recent events:

Ohio Key States Initiative

After visiting all the major Ohio cities this summer and fall we finished the tour by concentrating on some of the second level towns. Zanesville, Newark, and Lancaster were our most recent targets. The following is a blog from the Newark Advocate website:

Boy - It's amazing to read & see the outrage from people when the gory, sick & disgusting truth of abortion is actually paraded around in front of us instead of being passed off as a lifeless, nameless "mass of cells" or a woman’s 'right' to do what she wants with 'her' body. WAKE UP AMERICA - Your KILLING living, breathing children! If you can't handle the truth, then do something about it and outlaw this infanticide paraded around as everything but! — Thodius

Pennsylvania Key States Initiative

Since, June 2006 CBR’s trucks and airplanes have displayed abortion in Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Allentown, Scranton, Wilkes Barre, Philadelphia, and York (among many others).

CBR “Choice” truck operations finished our five month tour in State College, Hanover, and Altoona. Here is a excerpt from the Hanover Evening Sun:

Suellen Craig, CEO of Planned Parenthood, said many people find the images disgusting, which might hurt the campaign. "The fact of the matter is they are doing more harm to their movement than good because people are more disgusted by the images," she said.

CBR Note: Since when did Planned Parenthood get concerned about what was best for the pro life movement? I guess we are helping their cause by showing Americans what abortion is. Maybe Planned Parenthood will send us a donation?

That isn’t very likely. But you could. Please send a special year end gift!

Please don’t force us to use scarce funds from our general budget to pay for this billboard. Give generously.

The Christmas season is upon us. This is the time in which many of you consider year end gifts to ministries like CBR Midwest. 2006 has been the best of times (achieving more that I could ever imagine), and the worst of times (operating under funded and under staffed). God has provided for our needs. However, we want to expand our reach in 2007 beyond what we accomplished this year. Here are some of our goals:

  • In 2007, CBR Midwest hopes to establish a permanent branch office in the key state of Pennsylvania.
  • In 2007, CBR Midwest plans to visit one dozen university campuses with the Genocide awareness Project (GAP).
  • In 2007, CBR Midwest plans to help fund a full time lobbyist the help guide public policy in Ohio.

None of these goals are possible unless you partner with us financially. If you are a regular supporter please consider increasing your monthly or regular support $10-$20 in 2007. Also, if you are a supporter please send us a generous year end gift over and above your regular giving. Let me leave you with his testimony.

I never realized it [abortion] was this bad. I cried when I watched the clip of a real abortion. I can’t believe this is legal! — 16 yr. old female from Cambridge, ON

Thank you for helping us finish the race.
